NANANA family & ministry
Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico

PRAISE

We made our way back to Los Angeles safe and pleasant, except the car engine problem in Laredo, TX. Elaine and nanana are already settling back and engaged in many church and school activities.

On the way to LA, we had a Tiempo Con Dios seminar in Matehuala. It was a great tiem sharing the blessing of God’s Word experience. About 80 people participated and 30 of them made their commitment to continue Bible devotion with this monthly booklet.

We also had a joyful time in Tijuana for Weekend to Remember. It was a freshening time for us more than a training. Thanks to the Winds for continuously awakening our interest in this amazing ministry. Also our thanks to the Geurinks and the younger Lees who made our Tijuana experience beautiful and “placentera”.

Our new distributor for Tiempo Con Dios has shown his talent in this ministry. Israel Melendez (only son of pastor Francisco Melendez, for those who know him) has easily sold 100 copies for the first month of his sale. There were even shortage of supply. Is it his natural gift or what? Hmmmmmmm. Thanks for his willing and commitment for this time-consuming ministry.

PRAY for Abe’s ministry:

1.	Monday nights – El Nazareno RPC’s leadership “Bible & doctrine” study. We originally started to teach Reformed doctrine, but somehow God has led us to dig in the Word with Tiempo Con Dios. Interesting enough that the church’s key leader Jaime has joined seminary by extension program since last weekend. He finally opened himself as he did set apart his time for such formal training. Pray that he would continue with this learning attitude.
2.	Wednesday nights – Shekinah RPC’s men’s club. We’ve lost a half of the assistance – lack of interest and others due to time conflict with their daily work. Three men are faithfully attending (two elders and one deacon). Today we went out to have some tacos, an important way of strengthening our bondage for ministry. ☺
3.	Thursdays – Seminary teaching in Mexico City. It is joyful trip to meet students and encourage them to deepen their relationship with the Author of our life through classes. May they see God and listen His heartbeat for His people.
4.	Saturdays – Seminary by extension (TEE) of Emmanuel Presbytery is ever and getting stronger as all the teachers and 16-17 students are tied of love and great interest in the Word. God has been merciful with such significant ministry for the presbytery.
5.	Meetings (COMUNI, Field Council, and RPC Synod) – November is the month of ecclesiastical meetings everything happening in Mexico City. Pray that God will pour His Spirit of wisdom to come up with many beneficial decisions for His churches.
6.	Tiempo Con Dios – Nov. 14 in Aguascalientes (a WEC missionary asked us to impart this seminar for a group of pastors and church members), Nov. 20 at El Nazareno RPC (Emmanuel Presbytery co-prepares this to be a further training of the devotional booklet.), Nov. 23 at Bethel RPC in Zitlala, Gro. (First time for a rural church).
7. Church visits and preaching on Sundays – Abe scheduled to visit either walking or by bus ride to visit all churches of Emmanuel Presbytery before upcoming Home Service. May God guard him and make each visit a sure evidence of God’s rich blessing to churches.
8.	Amigos Sin Frontera – Purely Mexican medical brigade is going to a village in Durango state in 2nd week of November. May they touch many souls in the name of our God.
9.	We continue with the vehicle fundraising to replace our well used SUV for a semi-new vehicle during our upcoming home service (Dec. 2008 – June 2009). We are so thankful to those who have sent in their wholehearted offerings. We are wordless for your sacrifices and give thank God for your generosity. Please continue to pray for the remaining fund onto its completion. Should you have any questions regarding the fundraising, please contact us at chiapslee@gmail.com.
10.	Pray for Elaine and her birthday (Nov. 8). We love her and thank God for her many work and wholehearted ministry where ever she is placed by God, as you would note in the following.
11.	Morelos State public educational-institutional conflict has not been solved even after many dialogues between political representatives and teachers syndicate. There are ceaseless rumors of another major strikes and street demonstrations. Most citizens are stressed out and angry in fact. Pray that there is peace for all of us.

PRAY for Elaine and nanana’s whereabouts in Los Angeles:

1. In early October, Elaine also attended Inner healing seminar at ANC and she will now be in follow-up Bible study for the next 6 weeks.
2. Elaine will lead a coffeebreak Bible study in Los Angeles on Thurs. It’s a fairly weak center. So she is leading in order to bring them up for strong settlement.
3. Elaine will do home service presentation (early though) at an ANC small group on Nov. 7.
4. Elaine signed on ANC’s evangelism class starting from Nov. 2 and the following 6 Sundays.
5. Our nanana will, during Halloween days, attend “God’s Way, My Way”, a spiritual revival campaign for little people.
6. Our children are happy to have enrolled in New Covenant Academy, Los Angeles. They have already made a lot of new friends and are so busy with many, many school activities.

We bless you and pray for your boldness in the Lord in this difficult time of financial crisis and political confusion. May all you experience God’s blessing of Goshen as did the Israelites regardless of the severe plagues in Egypt.

Blessings, from The Lees

NANANA family & ministry
Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico

PRAISE

Emmanuel TEE program has received a lot of attention. Now we have 16 students and are well attending every Saturday. They do interact in the courses and teachers are eagerly preparing their assigned courses. PTL!

God has answered our prayer in finding a distributor for Tiempo Con Dios (monthly devotional booklet). Israel Melendez is passionate for this ministry as he attended its seminar and learned how valuable it could also be for many fellow Christians. He will distribute them on his own from October. Pray for him.

Emmanuel Presbytery’s annual meetings went well. Many reports had received, including pastor Samuel Garcia’s challenging ministry and life (missionary to Morocco). It received special attention from Mexicans since he is the first missionary abroad.

We had lunch with Antonio and Silvia Moreno (dentists, director of Amigos Sin Frontera). We exchanged our ministerial vision to reach the lost in Mexico. This couple is a fine people who learn to their talents into an instrument and opportunity to serve others. We look forward to further our ministerial relationship beyond our friendship.

Prayer Items:

o	9/28 – We will teach some hymns at Shekinah RPC. Almost none of them knows how to read the musical note. Some selected hymns on spiritual growth will be taught.

o	10/2 – 0/2 – We are leaving for L.A. Abe is taking Elaine and the kids and will be back in Cuernavaca by himself until December. Pray that our trip will go well and may it enrich us with many good memories.

o	10/3 – On the way to LA, Abe will lead a QT seminar (Tiempo Con Dios) in Matehuala, SLP. A Reformed Church in this mid-sized city located on half way from Mexico City to Laredo, TX, has invited him to teach on this spiritual exercise. About 50 people have signed for this feast. Pray that the Word would penetrate into the life of each participant.

o	10/4 – We plan to visit a campus church of ANC in San Antonio, TX, on the way to LA. This church is our prayer supporter.

o	10/8-9 – Our children will start school at New Covenant (Christian) Academy in LA. Pray that they will culturally and academically adjust well to this school and may enjoy new friends at school.

o	10/10-12 – Elaine will attend the Inner Healing Conference of ANC. After the satisfactory experience of Abe, we are submitting to take this training as a couple in order to implement this ministry in Cuernavaca after our home service. Pray for the conference that all the participants would be blessed.

o	10/18-19 – Abe and Elaine will participate "A weekend to remember" in Tijuana. Pray for the speakers (Winds and others) and participants. May many couples renew their marital vows through the event!

o	10/21 – Abe will travel back to Cuernavaca. Pray for his safe trip.

o	Monday nights: El Nazareno RPC is putting more efforts in learning the Reformed doctrine. Our group of 7-10 lay-leaders is creating a space for healthy culture and environment for the sake of their church. Abe also uses Tiempo Con Dios (TcD) to encourage them for spiritual growth through personal and group daily devotion.

o	Men's club at Shekinah RPC: Tomas (deacon) has been slowly showing his leadership skill as he gain much understanding on Christian values. He has been faithfully doing TcD for the last 6 months. Now he exhibits much change in his personality and his spiritual attitude toward church and its leaders. He became a quite supportive to the existing leadership rather than criticizing their human mistakes.

o	Reformed Presbyterian Seminary in Mexico City has welcomed a Korean missionary as a faculty member. Though he is still in trial period, this addition will surely benefit the seminary. Abe continues teaching two courses.

o	TEE / Bible institute of Emmanuel presbytery. Pray for about 16 students and 4 pastors who are actively involved with weekly sessions. These students are so precious in our eyes. We are sure that they are precious in the very eyes of our God who has called them for His harvests.

o	We continue with the fundraising to replace our almost 9 year old vehicle for a semi-new vehicle during our upcoming home service (Dec. 2008 – June 2009). We are so grateful to those who have sent in their wholehearted offerings. As we learn these funds come in, we are wordless rather to thank God for your generosity. However, we are still short of another 2/3 of total budget. Please continue to pray for the remaining fund onto its completion. Should you have any questions regarding the fundraising, please contact us at chiapslee@gmail.com.

We bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ as you walk alongside of us in outreaching the lost and strengthening His church in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

Blessings, The Lees.

The Lee Family and Ministry
Cuernavaca, Morelos

In August, we had two short term missions teams from ANC. However, they worked in Puebla and Cuernavaca. The Puebla team served a church in a remote village, about 6 hours driving from Cuernavaca. Abe gave a lecture on Evangelism. It was supposedly to encourage the members for outreach, instead it turned out to be a series of spiritual challenge for them to reaffirm the assurance of their own salvation. The last night evening service was the highlight of many blessing, as the entire congregation and ANC team exchanged God’s rich blessing with prayers.

We also had Tiempo con Dios (TcD, Quiet Time) seminar. We had about 80 participants (less than expected but…) from 8 Presbyterian churches. There were also some brothers from Chiapas. Our guest speaker Rev. Song shared, along with his own TcD experience, the importance of daily devotion with God. Many were encouraged and promised to use this devotional booklet for their personal relationship with God. Abe is also planning to further the seminar in order to help churches set up into small groups.

Prayer Items:

•	Monday nights: Abe has been leading a study on Christian Doctrine with some leaders of El Nazareno Church. Jaime, a key elder but with a strong personality, has been reluctant in the beginning but now enjoys more than any other. May this study help those leaders not only to increase their doctrinal knowledge but also to accordingly lead the church. Abe also uses TcD to encourage them adapt a reading culture.
•	Men's club at Shekinah. Abe continues to lead a lay leader group for TcD and thematic studies. Tomas (deacon) has learned and seen the benefits of TcD. He struggles and searches to spiritually grow and morally on his family duties.
•	Reformed Presbyterian Seminary in Mexico City has initiated another school year. Four new students have arrived. So, Abe travels every Thursday to Mexico City to teach 2 classes (Calvinism and Leadership). Please pray for the school year and all its family (teachers and students).
•	The Bible institute of Emmanuel presbytery has started on August 30. Pray for 4 pastors who are to schedule every Saturdays to teach and also for the busy working students. Abe will teach the book of Acts. Pray that God would pour His Spirit upon all of them.
•	Sept. 7 – We are asked to give advice a couple. Rosario, Elaine’s friend has been praying for their salvation and marital problems. May God bless them through us!
•	Sept. 11 – Our monthly prayer meetings with the Giffords and Pimentel will be in MC. After the meeting, we will lunch at a Peruvian restaurant. Thanks Alejandro for this arrangement.
•	Sept. 11-13 – Presbytery Emanuel will have its annual presbytery meeting in Cuernavaca. Pray for their reports and many decisions would successfully made.
•	Sept. 28 – Abe will lead a TcD seminar at a RPC church in Toluca. The church has been using it for sometime and now has about 30 participants in this wonderful daily devotion. Pastor Constantino and Madai are excited as they see the church grow.
•	A Presbyterian church in Cuautla (an hour from Cuernavaca) has joined in TcD ministry. About 25 members are grabbing every morning TcD booklet to build an altar for the Lord as they meditate the Word for their spiritual growth. Pray for their ongoing relationship with the Bible. Pastor Ricardo Aquino has visited ANC last June and is very much interested in all educational programs we have introduced to churches in Cuernavaca.
•	TcD distributor – You may remember that we have asked you pray for a distributor of this devotional book. At the seminar, we met a bookstore owner who expressed his willing to distribute the books at very low service fee. Praise the Lord.
•	Elaine's ministry – She is homeschooling our kids. It steals a lot of her personal and ministerial time. However, she and the kids are enjoying very much. PTL!!! Among other ministries she’d been doing so far, she continues to assist TcD sharing every Mondays with Cristiana and Andrea. She does visit also her other friends for some catch-ups.
•	We are scheduled to purchase a new vehicle for our ministry during our upcoming home service (Dec. 2008 – June 2009). We are so grateful for those who have sent in their wholehearted offerings. We have so far been promised and raised 1/3 of the total amount. As we hear these funds come in, we are wordless rather to thank God. Please continue to pray for the remaining fund onto its completion. Should you have any questions regarding this fundraising, please contact us at chiapslee@gmail.com.

We bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ as you walk alongside of us in outreaching the lost and strengthening His church in Mexico.

The Lee Family and Ministry
Cuernavaca, Morelos

Sinai NPC in Zacatepec, Morelos has shown interest in using Tiempo Con Dios regularly and has even made a dentist couple, Cesar and Dinah, excited for this devotional book as they give it away for more evangelism opportunity.

Men’s club of Shekinah church (RPC), although it has not grown in numbers, has been challenging to a couple of lay leaders. Continue to pray as they meet every other Weds.

A combined VBS of Maranatha, Shekinah, and La Hermosa RPC was a successful event. A Korean couple from Alabama assisted with praises and crafts.

Prayer Items:

•	July 30-Aug 4 – A short term missions team will come and support Liz’s ministry, an All Nations seminary graduate (Cd. Juarez), in a village in Puebla. It is the second year of the team’s missional commitment. Pray for the team leader (Sharon Kim), youth pastor Chris Choe for children ministry, a Mexican brother Israel for praise ministry, Abraham for a lecture on evangelism to lay members, and the rest of the team members.

•	From the first Monday of August, Abe will lead another discipleship training with Gregorio and a handful church member. He is an elder of Nazarene Church. He showed his interest in learning the Word with Abe. Pray that it will be a blessing for both of them and beyond for El Nazareno Presbyterian church.

•	Aug. 10 – Abe was invited to teach on a doctrinal issue at Totolco missions in Mexico City. Teresa who is a core leader of the church is concerned about the “Only Jesus movement” which has permeated to the church. Many members have come and asked her about some doctrinal issues related to the movement. Pray for Abe for a sound teaching with wisdom on the issue, and may the church grasp the real message of the Gospel.

•	Aug. 14 – We will have a prayer meeting at our place with other CRWM missionaries (Giffords and Pimentel). We pray that it will help us not only gather but to dream together the expanding kingdom of God in our areas.

•	Sometime in mid-Aug. – Reformed Presbyterian Seminary in Mexico City and the Bible institute of Emmanuel presbytery will start another school year. Please pray for the prospective students and teachers to come in full of God’s vision.

•	Aug. 29-30 – We will have Quite Time (QT) conference in Cuernavaca. Pastor Song, Byung Joo (ANC) will be a leading speaker for the event. Eunice Han, along with Abe & Elaine, have been organized the event. We are expecting 150+ attendees. Please pray that many devoted people would come and have learned on “how” of QT practice, so that it will be a tool for a daily fuel for their Christian living. We also have invited some pastors from Chiapas. Pray for their safe trip to Cuernavaca.

•	Elaine’s ministry – She plans to spend more time with the kids for their elementary studies and assist a number of ministries on schedule. Pray for Rosario who is going through a hard time with her sickness and her marriage. Please pray for her health.

•	We are scheduled to purchase a new vehicle for our ministry during our upcoming home-service (Dec. 2008 – June 2009). We are so grateful for those who have sent in their wholehearted offerings. We are wordless but to thank God instead. Please continue to pray for its fundraising onto its completion. Should you have any questions regarding this fundraising, please contact us at chiapslee@gmail.com.

The Lee Family and Ministry
Cuernavaca, Morelos

Praise the Lord that Abe had a good experience at the Inner healing seminar of All Nations Church. It was a biblical series of self-discovering sessions. Abe came back with much lighter memory of his past. He was encouraged to adopt the program for our local partners.

Our NANANA have almost ended the school year, just as Reformed Seminary of Mexico graduated two wonderful students for God’s kingdom work. Nery and Odon are going to work in Centro Prebiterio. Especially, Nery’s wife, not-yet-a-believer, has come to the service and congratulated her husband’s achievement.

Cuernavaca TEE has celebrated its 4th module completion. There were about 10 students who finished another four courses as they turned in written assignments and exams. Pastor Jose Ocampo, the director, announced two months of vacations. We will reinitiate in late August.

Prater items:

01.	July 1 – Elaine and Abe will lead a Bible reading group. Elaine has been a part of this group for the last couple of months. Some of the group members raised some theological issues, such as spiritual gifts and denominational differences and identities so Abe will once again give a talk on the spiritual gifts. Most ladies are from charismatic churches.
02.	July 5 – A Christian mariachi and dear brother, Salustio’s daughter will have her 15th birthday party at Maranatha Church. May she become a woman of God’s heart.
03.	July 6 – Sinai Church (NPC), Zacatepec, just started using Tiempo Con Dios (30 copies). Abe will preach to cultivate in the church this Bible reading. Pastor Oscar Molina and his church run a kindergarten at the church buildings and an extension center.
04.	July 9 – Men’s club of Shekinah church (RPC) continues. Rigoberto, Tomas, and Alfonso have continuously attended the meetings. They are using Tiempo Con Dios, by which Tomas, more than others, is learning and growing in wisdom and spirit. He is so motivated in sharing the Word.
05.	July 17 – Pastor Alejandro & Nora announced their 10th anniversary to be celebrated at the church (Bethel NPC). He has had problems with his consistory since last year. May it help settle his situation and continue to serve the church.
06.	July 19-25 -- A Korean couple will visit our churches to evaluate future work team possibilities from their church in Alabama. We’ve known the couple for many years. May their visit give them a vision for Mexico missions.
07.	July 21-26 – A number of Reformed churches of Emmanuel Presbytery will have a joint VBS. The Korean couple will possibly help on hand-craft activities.
08.	July 30-Aug 4 – A work team will come and support Liz’s ministry, an All Nations seminary graduate (Cd. Juarez), up in a village in Puebla. It is the second year that the team is coming to help her work for the Lord.
09.	Elaine’s activities: (1) Kids club is finished as the vacation is starting. (2) School moms prayer meetings will continue as the kids go back to school. (3) Our NANANA will need to find an English tutor to improve their writing & reading skills. (4) Elaine wants to take Spanish courses for a week at UNINTER in town.
10.	Rosario, a dear friend of Elaine, is suffering from gallstone. Her husband is a very nice Christian and church leader of a Charismatic church in town. However, he has not taken good care of his own family. She has been so intensely stressed for the last couple of months due to her husband’s indifferent attitudes and other personal matters. May our prayer give her wisdom and wellness for her physical and marital needs.
11.	A year old missions in Puente de Ixtla is growing. It’s a missions composed of former Mexican railroad company laborers who lost their jobs due to its bankruptcy and ended up making home from the unoperating wagons since 1980s. See pictures of a CRC visit last year and a recent worship service at pics. Now there are a handful of families worshipping God. Last Saturday we had a service at a local park. We got temporal permits to occupy it for this purpose. On pictures you will also see some ladies from Maranatha church serving poor kids with hot foods. Praise the Lord. We still have a lot to do here. Our children were surprised by kids’ foul languages.
12.	We are scheduled to purchase a new vehicle for our ministry during our upcoming home-service (Dec. 2008 – June 2009). Please pray for its fundraising. Should you have any questions regards to our fundraising please contact us at chiapslee@gmail.com or abe@nanana.org

Thanks for your constant fellowship in prayer for God’s missions in Cuernavaca.
Blessings,

Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico

Graduations are around the corner? Congratulations! May God also be with you on your next stage of life! Please join us in praising God for ...

•	Naomi is 11 as of last May. Thank you all for your warm greeting emails and phone calls that completed her party the most beautiful gift.
•	Mother’s Day Eve was a surprising morning as Maranatha Church did stop by at our home to sing Las Mañanitas and a Mother’s Day special song. Thanks to pastor Jose Ocampo.
•	Worship Symposium (Calvin Worship Institute) in DF was a good experience for our seminary students. It was an eye opening for them to rethink of their worship life and church liturgy.

PLEASE PRAY WITH US FOR THE FOLLOWINGS.
•	May 31 – Shekinah Church has announced to gather together its neighbors for a dinner campaign. Abe will deliver the Word. Pray that the Spirit of Salvation will move on each soul at the event.

•	Abe will participate a conference at All Nations Church (June 6-8) in Los Angeles. May it help him equip for pastoral care and learn on how better counsel the needy.

•	Shekinah RPC Men's Club continues twice a month. It is a group of 5-6 men for Bible & thematic study with Abe. Pray for the leadership of Rigoberto and Tomas, key lay leaders of the church.

•	Seminary's TEE center in Morelos will celebrate its thanksgiving service for the end of another 4-month-module on June 21. May this service encourage both students and teachers who have faithfully prepared and attended 16 week-courses. Abe will teach his 4-hour course on June 14.

•	Reformed Theological Seminary. The semester has reached to its end. All students are writing thesis and taking exams to finish the semester. Pray that they had had learned the very heart of God from each classroom. Pray also for its commencement service on June 15 at Gethsemani Church, Xochimilco, D.F. Abe is scheduled to give the word of encouragement to the graduating students, Nery and Odon.

•	Our children will have school-end exams from June 17-25. Pray that they prayerfully solve each subject.

•	Sinai Church of Toluca (pastor Constantino) invited us to join their feast for Ladies Society anniversary on June 29. Abe and Elaine will share the Word.

•	Pray for Elaine's activities:
1.	Prayer Meeting & Bible Study with Goldenwoods School Moms. Pray that the power of prayer is felt in each of its integrants’ life, and deepen their relationship with the Father.
2.	Kids club. May God continue to bless this ministry and the children may become happier through these activities. It will also call recess once the school starts its vacations.
3.	Pray for Elaine as she gets engaged more and more in counseling moms.

•	Pray for the ministry of Tiempo Con Dios (a monthly devotional book). We are facing financial difficulty to continue its distribution. Our subscribers are not really trained to save and put their time to take it a habit for their spiritual benefit. Many of them have owed us 2-3 months of subscription fees ($2.50 per copy).

•	We are scheduled to purchase a new vehicle for our ministry during our upcoming home-service (Dec. 2008 – June 2009). Please pray for its fundraising.

Thanks for your prayer, love, and giving,
God bless you,

Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico

Happy Month of Family!

•	Thank God for His protections as we traveled to different places in the month of April.
•	Thank God for many wonderful people we met in April and the blessings we received through conversations. It was a time of refresh and challenge. Pray that God will continue to bring people to our lives so that we may see and hear the voice of God through them.

Prayers:
•	Shekinah RPC Men's Club is having twice a month gathering. It is a group of 5-6 men for Bible & thematic study with Abe. They are using the book "Limited for Adolescent" and “Tiempo con Dios.”

•	May 10: Abe and Jose Ocampo will work together at a mission in Puente de Ixtla.

•	May 12-16: Abe will teach two courses at the Bible institute in Chiapas (Ebenezer Presbytery). He will be teaching Leadership and the Book of Acts. Pray for safety in travel and an effective teaching.

•	May 13: Naomi will celebrate her 11th birthday. We encourage you to send a short note in her email box at naomi.lee13@gmail.com. She would love to write back ASAP. Thanks. :)

•	May 19-21: Worship Symposium. Calvin Worship Institute is coming down for Its First Worship Symposium in Mexico City. Abe is promoting and planning to attend it with local pastors. Please pray for the event.

•	May 26-28: We will have an annual evaluation. Please pray that everything goes well.

•	Reformed Theological Seminary. Abe continues teaching. May God show His grace upon the students as the final week of the semester approaches.

•	Seminary's TEE center in Morelos. Our 13+ students are firm and even hungrier for the Word. Pray for Abe and pastors—Jose Ocampo, Nain de Jesus, & Francisco Melendez—as they continue to prepare to better feed the students.

•	Personal discipleship. After various weeks off, Abe is back with Brother Cho, Ph.D. student at UAEM. May the Word continue work in his marriage and study.

•	Pray for Elaine's activities:
1.	Prayer Meeting & Bible Study with Goldenwoods School Moms. While we were gone out of Cuernavaca, the school principal had called in her office two moms of our prayer group. She did ask them to stop the prayer meetings. Likely, there was a complaint by a parent who felt that we have been forcing her to become a Christian. We have once invited her come over our meetings, as we learned that she However, two moms told the principal that we would continue meeting and praying for the school. Please pray that we would stand firm for the school and may not lose heart.
2.	Kids club. May God continue to bless this ministry and the children may become happier through these activities.
3.	Pray for Elaine as she gets engaged more in counseling moms. She has shared the Word of God with a number of ladies who have been in difficult stages in their marriage and moreover in their spiritual journey.
4.	The ladies society of Filadelfia NPC has asked Elaine to speak for their weekly meetings in May. The topic is "Single women." Pray for Elaine to share God’s given wisdom.

•	Pray for the ministry of Tiempo Con Dios (a monthly devotional book). We ask God for a dedicated person for such a ministry. Since there isn't any monetary profit from this book sale, it would be a real search for a right person. May God send us a qualified servant.

•	We are scheduled to purchase a new vehicle for our ministry during our upcoming home-service (Dec. 2008 – June 2009). Please pray for its fundraising.

Cuernavaca, Morelos

Time in Chiapas was very enjoyable. We never expected the weather to be so pleasant. It seemed like we took the Cuernavaca weather with us. We met many brothers and sisters in Christ. We encouraged them with the Word of God and prayers; and in return, they encouraged us with their visions and passion for the ministries.
•	We are thankful for the visitors we had in April. We really enjoyed the fellowship with each one of them.
•	Abe had about 30 students at AMICH. The course of "Urban Missions" sounded like unmatchable them since all of the students were from rural areas. However, they showed a great interest in learning and outreaching the urban people.
•	Thank you for your prayer for Pastor Pedro and Esperanza. They now find peace in their marriage. Please continue to pray for them as they are in a healing process.

PRAYER ITEMS:
•	April 2: Elaine is invited to an evangelistic breakfast. Pray for her as she prepares for the talk. Let the people who were invited to know the gospel and come to know God.
•	April 2 & 23: Shekinah RPC Men's Club. Twice a month a group of 5-6 men gathers together for a Bible & thematic study with Abe. They are using the book "Limited for Adolescent."
•	April 6: Abe is scheduled to preach at Shekinah Church.
•	April 12: Nahum's 8th birthday. Please join us to celebrate his birthday.
•	April 15-19: Abe is going to Nicaragua for an evangelism strategy meeting. Please pray for his trip and for the meeting.
•	April 24-29: Missionary Annual retreat. We are having the retreat in Merida. Please pray for the spiritual renewal and good fellowship amongst missionaries.
•	Reformed Theological Seminary. Abe's teaching duty continues this month. He travels every Thursdays to the world largest city.
•	Seminary's TEE center in Morelos. We have 13+ students. Pray for Abe and pastors—Jose Ocampo, Nain de Jesus, & Francisco Melendez—who are also scheduled to teach in between their busy church activities.
•	Personal discipleship. Brother Cho has gained confidence in studying the Bible with Abe. May his stay in Cuernavaca will help in getting to know God in addition to his Ph.D. study at UAEM.
•	Pray for Elaine's activities:
•	Prayer Meeting & Bible Study with Goldenwoods School Moms. She now has 5 moms in the group. They study "The power of the positive mom". Please continue to pray for this ministry. Many of their prayer requests are related to their marriage issues. This helps not only to strengthen the school but also reach out their family needs.
•	Kid's club. May God continue to bless this ministry and children who come to the club.
•	Pray for Elaine as the need for good counseling is requiered. She is sharing the Word of God with many who are going through difficulties in their marriage and in spiritual journey.

THE LEE FAMILY & MINISTRY
Cuernavaca, Morelos

The month of February was short but had so many activities that had kept us busy. The Men's club in Shekinah church is going very well. After The 10 Commandments, they are studying on "Boundaries for Adolescents." They saw the need for better relationship with their teenagers.
o March 22-28: Abe is once again invited to lecture on Urban Mission at AMICH of Chiapas. So we as a family are heading to Chiapas. While Abe teach the course, Elaine and the kids will make visits to friends. Especially, pray for the family of Pedro Gutierrez and Esperanza Peñate for their marriage struggle. A church member of the church where Pedro is pastor has caused a problem in their marriage.

o Reformed Theological Seminary. Abe’s teaching duty continues this month so travel every Thursdays to the world largest city.

o Seminary’s TEE center in Morelos. We have 13+ students. Its third module has begun since Feb. 24. On March 1 Abe will teach new course (NT Exegesis). He is scheduled to teach every other Saturday. Pray also for other pastors—Jose Ocampo, Nain de Jesus, & Francisco Melendez—who are also scheduled to teach in between their busy church activities.

1.	Filadelfia NPC women's society has asked her to lead Bible study on March 4 & 11. The theme is "The importance of teaching Bible at home".
2.	Prayer Meeting & Bible Study with Goldenwwds School Moms. She now has 5 moms in the group. They study "The power of the positive mom". Please continue to pray for this ministry. Many of their prayer requests are related to their marriage issues. This helps not only to strengthen the school but also reach out their family needs.
3.	Kid's club. Elaine has planned to cover The 10 Commandments (Focus on the Family’s home-builder material). Pray for Elaine since it is her first-time in kid’s ministry. Beyond fear, now she is really enjoying it. It is a sign of another ministry for her to pursue.

o Pray for the ministry of Tiempo Con Dios (a monthly devotional book). We ask God for a dedicated person for such a ministry. Since there isn't any monetary profit from this book sale, it would be a real search for a right person. May God send us a qualified servant.

THE LEE FAMILY & MINISTRY
Cuernavaca, Morelos

Praise for the fruitful trip down to Chiapas, except a concern of a pastor who seems to be in marital trouble. Pray for pastor Pedro Gutierrez and his wife Esperanza. … Two Presbyterial Bible Institutes among the Chols are growing and getting better attention from their own presbyteries. … Also the Diaconia de Chiapas is on its move outreaching their churches to enhance their agronomical skills. This work even got attention from churches in Merida as they’ve learned its effectiveness by presentations at a recent RPC synod in Chiapas.

o	Reformed Theological Seminary. This semester Abe is traveling every Thursdays alone to Mexico City to lecture. He is teaching Calvinism 1 and Evangelism 2.
o	Morelos Bible Extension center. We have 13+ students. Pray for teachers—Pastor Jose Ocampo, Pastor Aaron Marino, Pastor Jose Luis Gonzales, and Abe.
o	Personal discipleship. Brother Cho is gaining a growing confidence in studying the Bible with Abe. May his stay in Cuernavaca is fulfilled by getting closer to God beside his Ph.D. study at UAEM.
o	Shekinah RPCM’s Men’s Club. Twice a month a group of men of Shekinah RPCM will gather together for Bible study and thematic study with Abe. Abe foresees a healthy men society within this church. At its launching meeting there showed 6 men with a lot of tremendous testimonies. Praise the Lord.
o	Pray for Elaine’s activities: Regretfully, some of her last year activities have been cancelled. It was very disappointing to her; however, God has opened other doors to continue minister. She has started Kid’s club. All the kids are from the Goldenwood school. The purpose of the ministry is to evangelize the kids and to reach the parents eventually.

Also, prayer meetings with Goldenwoods School Moms are going well. They have asked, since this month, Elaine to lead a bible study regards on how to raise kids.

Filadelfia has asked Elaine to give on a regular base a study for Women society. Please pray for God’s guidance and wisdom.

o	Obrero Felipe will get married on the 23rd. He has served a missions for a long time and found a charm and wholehearted lady. He failed his first marriage from which he has a son. It is also a second marriage for Elia. Her first husband passed away a decade ago. Join us in blessing this new weds.
o	Abe will preach a Korean church in Tampico on the 17th. A church of basically among a Korean company invited him to share God’s vision in Mexico.
o	Amigos Sin Frontera has successfully done another medical brigade trip to Durango. They report that 400 patients had been attended. All of them heard the good news and many of them got converted, including the village mayor. While the Amigos were fighting against evil power as a prayer team constantly kneel at a side, they also had to fight against weather. The temperature went down to 3º C below zero. For morelenses it was a killing power. Praise the Lord for such a fruitful service.
o	Pray for the ministry of Tiempo Con Dios (a monthly devotion). We ask God for a dedicated person to distribute this book. Since there isn’t any monetary profit from this book sale, it would be a real search for the right person. May God send us a qualified man or woman who will donate some personal time for this ministry. A church (Bethel NPCM) has learned how effectively use this material and expanded to 50 subscribers for daily devotion of the Bible.

Thanks for your prayer, love, and giving,
God bless you,

THE LEE FAMILY & MINISTRY
Cuernavaca, Morelos

Happy New Year, everyone! We wish you a blessing year of 2008. Thanks for your faithful prayers and cheerful walk with us throughout 2007 in Mexico missions. It has been a year of much learning and training for us to dream in another year of challenging ministry. … We did have great Christmas, by the way, with Elaine’s folks. Please pray for the followings.

o	As our children go back to school on Jan. 7, Mexican Reformed Seminary also calls back in its students from a 3 week winter break. Pray that all the students had a good family time and would come back safely to race another cheerful semester of ministerial preparation. Abe will be back on traveling every Thursday to Mexico city. Pray for the shortage of teaching staff in this semester due to expected (and unexpected) changes to many of us. Elaine is not teaching this semester. Dave is on his home service. Alejandro Pimentel postponed his arrival.

o	Jan. 7 – “Date with pastors and their wives”. Pastor Jose Luis Gonzalez, after pastor Julio Carvajal had left RPCM about 6 months ago, has announced his leave in 3 months. So basically, we will have one full-time pastor Jose Ocampo to work with in 2008 (We also have pastor Fco. Melendez whose schedule is unpredictable since he spent a half of this year off for a personal trip), two half-time evangelists, and another pastor but in Guerrero state. We are very discouraged to open up the New Year with lesser leadership. Please pray for us not to lose God’s given vision and ministerial spirit for Emmanuel presbytery.

o	Jan. 8 – Abe will consecrate Sociedad Feminil (Women society) of Filadelfia NPC (Cuernavaca) as they envision for another year of further growth and blessing.

o	Jan. 14-21 – “Amigos Sin Frontera” is scheduled to minister in the state of Durango. May the Spirit of God be with their medical and spiritual approach to many isolated hearts of this remote area from the saving Gospel. Pray for Dr. Antonio Moreno for his leadership on this brigade.

o	Jan. 17-19 – Pray for RPCM’s synod meetings in Chiapas. Due to the severe flood in Tabasco and Chiapas, it has been postponed since last November. May the upcoming meetings bring fruitful visions to all the Reformed churches of Mexico. May we all share the dream on church multiplication by raising up a solid generation of church leadership in 2008.

o	Jan. 12 – After a short break, TEE will be back in operation with its 13-14 lay students of the Word. We would depend on your ongoing prayer for this ministry. As common as it is in other places in the world, we do need to raise great number of good church leaders. We hope that these are the ones for Morelos and Guerrero states.

o	Jan. 22-25 – Abe will teach Homiletics at a Ch’ol Bible Institute. Its director & pastor Cristobal G. has been humbly leading the institution ever since the Presbyterial split in 2005.

o	Cristo la Unica Esperanza NPC, Monte de los Olivos NPC, and Emmanuel NPC have experienced severe spiritual earthquake in the last couple of years. May the Spirit of God bless them with a good pastoral leadership in 2008.

o	Pray for Elaine’s activities: Bible study on Wednesdays, One-to-one discipleship training with Karla (Wednesdays), personal encounters with Vianney, and prayer group of Goldenwoods school moms.

o	Pray for the ministry of Tiempo Con Dios (a monthly devotion). We ask God for a dedicated person to distribute this book. Since there isn’t any monetary profit from this book sale, it would be a real search for the right person. May God send us a qualified man or woman who will donate some personal time for this ministry.

o	Pray for El Nazareno RPC as its consistory begins search for a new pastor. Pastor Jose Luis has decided to return to his former denomination (NPC). The church lost pastor Julio Carvajal a year ago over his personality issue, and this time over pastor’s indifferent attitude regardless the church’s desire to work with him. Pray that the church won’t doubt of God’s pastoral care.

Thanks for your prayer, love, and giving,
God bless you!

A turkeyless but yet-gracious (with tacos, instead) Thanksgiving Day it was! Praise the LORD for His lordship over our family and ministry.

Praise God for an eye opening visit to Aguascalientes. A missionary friend arrived there recently and we spent sometime together exploring the city and a half of the state in two days. God has surely great plan to bless the entire state.

Praise God for new addition of baby Rachel to Elaine’s sister Sandy Kang’s family. Both are doing great and happy. Pray as the Kangs minister a Chinese church in San Jose, CA.

Thanks to God for His faithfulness in the lives of our pastors of Emmanuel presbytery. Regardless ups-and-downs of life and ministry, all are doing fine and encouraged ever to serve God’s people. Pray for RPCM pastors Jose Ocampo, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Francisco Melendez, and evangelists Felipe Arrieta, Saturnino Arrellano, & Gregorio Rodriguez.

Praise also for a special moment we’ve had with a new Baptist missions. At their monthly outreach Sunday service (with breakfast) Abe preached and shared a testimony of how God requires us the right kind of faith in Him. Paola, leader of the missions, is a mission-minded lady and is training herself to serve, in near future, Tarahumarans in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Please pray for the followings.

o	Dec. 1 & 15 – Two churches will celebrate their anniversary. May the Word and the Spirit of God renew once again their vows in the expansion of God’s kingdom.

o	Dec. 4 – Elaine is coming back from CA. NANANA are eager to have her back, Abe too, of course. Pray for her happy RE-union after 2 weeks of being away.

o	Dec. 8 – TEE Ixtlatotatzin (ex-Seminary by extension) of Cuernavaca has now regular attendees (13 students). Though all are much talented lay leaders, some continue to struggle with the application of the Word in their daily walk. Yolanda once shared us her marriage in risk for the last two years. Pray that she’d find herself in God’s comfort.

o	Dec. 10, 14 & 22 – We will celebrate Christmas with various groups of evangelical entities in town. On the 10th, Dating with Pastors & their wives (DWPW) will celebrate Navidad (Christmas breakfast) and thanksgiving for God’s blessing during the year 2007. On the 14th, AMEM will have its annual meal for Christmas. All the pastors in the area (60+) will gather together to encourage each other. On the 22nd, TEE will celebrate a banquet. In this way, we seek to encourage students and pastor-teachers to continue serving God’s church.

o	Thursdays – The RPSM’s end of semester is around the corner. Pray for all the students as they write term papers and take final exams.

o	Dec. 24-31 – Elaine’s parents are coming to visit and celebrate Christmas with us. NANANA take is as a Santa Clause’s visit ☺.

o	Pray for Elaine’s activities: Bible study on Wednesdays, One-to-one discipleship training with Karla (Wednesdays), personal encounter with Vianney, prayer time with Goldenwoods school moms, and a class for Seminary in Mexico City.

o	Pray for the ministry of Tiempo Con Dios (a monthly devotion). A Pentecostal church has backed down from using it. Some others are facing financial issues (Is the monthly spending of 25 pesos/U$2.50 a burden for them? Maybe!). Pray that this booklet continue to be a helping tool for personal relationship with God.

o	Pray for Abe’s literary ministry, some are almost at the end of progress.

o	Pray for pastor Jose Ocampo and his wife Julia Bustos. Julia once blew out her struggle with pastor Jose at a TEE session. She had complained before on his overwhelming involvement with the church work, and yet relatively spending lesser time for the family. On the other hand, pastor Jose struggled on how to dance in between his family and the divine call to ministry. He is a very good and enthusiastic man for God’s business. It’s the time he needs most of God’s guide and wisdom.

o	Pray for Tabasco and Chiapas. Though we’ve not heard of any damage by water from people we know, the needs are still great and require a long-term help. The entire Mexico is extending their love and care to those in need. Dr. Huascar de la Cruz, rector of Presbyterian seminary in Villahermosa, says that they were briefly surrounded by water, but he adds that in the early December another inundation could happen from Carrizal river that runs by west-north of the city.

Thanks for your prayer, love, and giving,
God bless you,

Yolanda has been a student of Itlatol-Totazin (Nahuatl, "God's word") TEE Center since last March. She is a brilliant student. She does her homework timely and raises helpful questions all the times. She is also studying psychology for her master degree.

However, last saturday she asked me for an hour talk. She opened herself up and let so much stuff out of her darkened life so far. She had been married almost two decades, but it came to an end due to personal differences in addition to an issue between the couple. It's been 2 years. He left home and family. She lives now with her two adolescent daughters. So much need and attention are on her. She had had many mornings without food to feed her daughters, but God has shown her His faithfulness in a miraculous way. Like Elijah and the ravens, God has always been behind the curtain of earthly life.

She meditate the Word with Tiempo Con Dios (TcD), a devotional book published by Tyrannus, every morning at 5 with her daughters. They've been using it for the last 3-4 months and found much peace and blessing from the LORD. Though there are ups-and-downs of life, but God's presence and their gratitude in return are prioritized. God is big in her and their everyday walk. May the light of the LORD be upon their every inch of family walk. Thanks God for you are good.
