June 2014 Prayer Concert

The month of May went by so fast and hard to catch again. Here are our thankful praises and requests for further prayer in June.

1. Pray for a Conference on Reformed Worldview (June 7) that will be led by our colleague missionary Marcia Geurink. Sunday school teachers and church leaders are invited to participate and we pray that they will catch the biblical worldview and life view to strengthen their homes and become good influence to next generations.

2. Pray for Coffee Break ministry that is steadily looking for healthy leaders for next generations. On June 13-14, we will have a small group ministry and leader training with Sam Huizenga (codirector, Coffee Break at Christian Reformed Home Missions). May it finds more Coffeebreakers and discover their talent to serve in groups. More than 50 participants are expected to attend.

3. Praise God for three Coffee Break groups for men. Specially pray for the group at Cristo Unica Esperanza Church. There are 6-7 men studying the book of Jonah. Following the second chapter they’ve started to open up their personal stories deep in their heart. May it continue to cause growth in life and faith through the fellowship. Please pray also for the upcoming plan to publish the book of Acts (first part) in September for which we’d need to raise fund.

4. Pray for our churches in Cuernavaca. Along with the Multiplication Network trainings they re-dream to fulfill the denominational church growth goal for 2020. However, I'm in favor of our churches to focus more her spiritual and emotional growth over numeric growth.

5. Pray for Filadelfia church (Pastor Gerardo) had over the past few months, marriage training for a dozen couples. We had privilege of attending their graduation. It was so sweet to witness their heartfelt testimonies to each other. May God’s Spirit continue to move on their marital relationship.

6. Praise God for Naomi’s 17th birthday. While number of her school friends have gone to Europe for exchange school program, she had not lost from showing smile to us. She could have requested, too, but decided not to. Instead we promised her a special trip when she graduates in 2 years. We are so thankful to God to have such sweet daughter.

7. Pray for an extra-ordinary meetings for AID ministry scheduled on June 6. It is for a more systematic team ministry with brotherhood-sisterhood spirit from each volunteer.

8. Pray for the ministry visit from Good steward Church (Pastor Song) on June 18-23. They are coming for medical brigade and church-home painting. El Nazareno (pastor Hector) and Puerta del Cielo (evangelist Socorro) churches will be blessed with these two services.

9. Pray for Angelica & Misael’s wedding on June 28 at Filadelfia church. Not long ago she had gone through a heart-hurting trouble she had at a hospital by which she struggled a lot even to proceed her wedding plans. For a short time we had provided them marital counseling to help her overcome her struggles. Please join us to congratulate them.

10. Thanks for your ongoing prayer and love giving for us to continue to minister among Mexican fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. God has blessed our ministry to God through your hands and heart. Praise God for this joint work for His kingdom.
