Prayer Concert, Sept. 2013

1. PRAISE for our 9th Image of God Seminar over the last weekend. We ministered 63 participants who had come from 18 different churches and from Durango, Naucalpan, and Villahermosa. Among them, we also had 2 nonbelievers who have decided to draw themselves near God. Our ministry team did an excellent teamwork to bring this result. Not to mention, some teenagers, including our nanana, did assist us with childcare and other minor works.

2. Pray for a soon-to-begin Coffee Break study on Genesis (12 sessions). Elaine translated it with Rebeca her coworker for this growing ministry. During the month of August, they along with Socorro reviewed it to lead their own groups in the next months. Many people have already shown interest to take the study with them. Pray for her 4 study groups from Tuesday night to Friday morning. Elaine will also have a Korean-speaking Coffee Break group via Kakaotalk. So far she has 5 people registered for this study. They are all in Mexico City.

3. Bible Reading in 90 days group (Monday nights) has just finished reading the Old Testament. It took us 3 months and we have only one more month to finish with the New Testament. We have launched it with 6 people and so far it kept 7 people all this time.

4. Pray for seminary by extension (Saturdays). Abe will teach a course for the next 5 weekends. May our 5 students continue to enjoy studying the Bible.

5. Pray for Image of God ministries. (1) As our 9th Seminar has been offered, we will have an update reunion celebration on the 21st. (2) We will soon begin 4-5 small groups for the 8-week follow-up studies. Our table-leaders will lead the groups at their places. Pray that there will be further relational restoration in the participants. (3) A book club continues on Tuesday morning with the themes on relationship healing. They have finished Changes that Heal (Cambios que Sanan) and will continue with Healing is A Choice (Sanidad es Una Eleccion). Soon there will be another book club.

6. Pray for Emanuel Presbytery meetings this weekend. Abe will preach at the closing service. Pray that God will pour His wisdom on each of us as we turn in reports and plan for new ministries.

7. Pray for new semester of Reformed Theological Seminary in Mexico City. Pray for our students to healthily grow in knowledge and in spirit.

Thank you so much for your ongoing prayer and graceful giving.
