September 2005 Prayer Guide
Praise God for his mercy! Our three children are now in Southland Christian School, Los Angeles. Naomi is in 3rd grade, Nathan in 1st, and Nahum in preschool. Hope that they will enjoy a year of schooling in the States until our return to Mexico next June.
PRAISE & PRAYERS
• We attended All Nations Seminary’s 5th commencement in Ciudad Juarez. All Nations CRC, our home church, mobilized 100 church members including mission committee plus alumni of the last four generations. It was a joyful celebration sharing the church’s “Vision800” with all attendees.
• Last week, two Chol youth (Jorge Sanchez & Drucila Peñate) left to Mexico City for seminary education. Both PKs have finished high-school and will be studying for 3 years. Abe did interview them and pray that they will be nourished further spiritually and become visionary servants of God.
• Keith, Elaine’s brother, is doing much better. Though his right eyelid takes long from opening, he will try to drive a car this weekend. Pray that he will successfully manage himself. He will be back in fulltime position at All Nations Church from mid-Sept.
• Finally I got a car part after 2 months of its search in Mexico. A parking break cable was mysteriously difficult part to find in Mexico. Thanks to this dealer in El Paso, TX for getting it in 3 days.
• Sept. 1-2: Abe will teach in Tocob center. It drastically reduced its student’s number from 6 to 2 this month. The reason unknown yet. However, we pray that it will nevertheless be a blessing to those last runners.
• Sept. 1-2: Reformed presbytery (Chol churches) staffs will have an important meeting with Moises Colop (CRWRC), looking for a cooperative ministry for community development.
• Early September Efren and Melina will drive down to Palenque from Ciudad Juarez.
• Sept. 7-9: National Presbyterian (Chol churches) will have a specially designed study program for their evangelists. It’s to enrich and encourage their level of church planting capacity.
• Sept. 17. Abe will visit Estrella de Belen Church which was helped to finish her churchfloor and wall two years ago. The church programmed for a farewell service.
• Sept. 19-23: Reformed Bible Institute of Chiapas’s week in Colonia Los Robles. Four subjects will be taught, three of them by the same local leaderships.
• Sept. 26-30: Reformed Bible Institute of Chiapas’s week in Tocob. Two subjects will be given this time.
• Sept. 29-Oct.2. Abe will visit newly planted missions in Villa Flor, Buena Vista, and Shashi-Ja. May his presence be an encouragement for them. Many times a missionary visit was taken as a special blessing.
