Quake in our mind
While the world mourns from the effects of the earthquake and tsunami in Asia, we have been surprised by disturbing news from Palenque, Chiapas. We've been in Los Angeles to visit Keith (Elaine's brother) who has suffered and is gradually recovering from Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. In between our busy schedule from/to the hospital, our dear Christian brother Cesario, our housesitter, informed us today that our house has been broken into sometime last night.
Early this morning, on his way to work, Cesario stopped by to check out our house and was terrified. A window protector was broken and found on the ground. Our desktop computer and some other things had been taken away. With tears of sadness and anger, he told us the details of what happened. We ended our conversation encouraging him to react to this incident in a Christian way. Indeed, we're sad for our loss but we are thankful for a good friend.
