As evangelical churches grow in Chiapas state, more church leaders are urgently needed for local demand and throughout Mexico. In response to a request from the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Mexico to expand Christian education programs, we had been, during 1999-2006, working primarily among the Ch'ol people in NE Chiapas (a Mayan family of 160,000 inhabitants in the area). Our ministry mainly consisted of the following areas.
Education/training: to establish a Bible Institute for the Ch'ol and to motivate open more seminary extension programs in local churches in order to prepare talented church lay leaders.
Evangelism: to encougage church leaders in the formation of new churches and cell groups.
Literature & Media: to distribute and introduce Christian resources and in doing so draw their Christian walk near and indirectly enrich it in the Lord.

After 6 years of service in Chiapas, we've moved to Cuernavaca, Morelos (nearby the Great Mexico City) to work with Emmanuel Presbytery. It covers two states (Morelos and Guerrero) from Cuernavaca city (known as the city of Eternal Spring) to the worldly known city of vacations, Acapulco city. Basically, our Christian service includes the followings.
Leadership development: initiate a number of seminary extension centers both in urban and rural settings. RPCs are in general small and weak in learning.
Evangelism & Church Planting: encourage the existing churches to reach out their neighbors and make every impact in every possible way.
Ministry to Pastors: listen to pastors' pains originated both from ministry and family, and advice them, through friendship, to balance between church and family. Most of them have been very lonely in between two worlds and their demands.
Children and Youth Ministry: introduce its theory and tips on these important area of our churche ministries. We will share our experience in addition to teachings of some experts in these areas.
Chiapas Ministry: continue to support Reformed Bible Institute of Chiapas. It has now two centers in Palenque and Yajalon.
